Ammonia Filtration has developed a filtration technology that offers industrial workers better protection from exposure to toxic ammonia gas.
In creating its advanced filters, the company synthesized a super-porous material with a specially designed physical and chemical structure. This material relies on a new class of especially porous carbons called carbide-derived carbons (CDCs).
About 195 million metric tons of ammonia are produced each year, with a market value of more than $100 billion. Ammonia Filtration is exploring the market potential of its products for industrial applications and the military, which has a significant need for ammonia protection as well.
