InTailor Surgical has developed a technique for conducting weight loss surgery without an incision, using a simple 20-minute outpatient procedure.
The technology offers an improvement on existing endoscopic gastroplasty methods, which require surgical cutting that can lead to wound complications. InTailor Surgical’s technique uses a biological material graft as a suturing device, therby limiting the amount the patient can eat in a meal. The surgical procedure can be performed through one of the body’s natural orifices, so no incision is needed.
