Zyrobotics

Industry: Assistive technology

Zyrobotics develops inclusive, accessible technology for individuals with motor limitations, especially children. The company’s educational games and apps offer an alternative interface for people who have trouble with the prevailing pinch-and-swipe approach to touchscreen interaction.

The company’s products include apps that target STEM education; an industry-leading wireless switch interface adapter for tablets called TabAccess; and a suite of switch-accessible gaming apps that help improve motor skills.

Because more than 3 million people in the US have a disability in their hands or forearms, the assistive technologies market is forecasted to reach $55 billion by 2016.
