Ellie Cantkier
Senior Administrative Manager
Keeping GRA’s operations running smoothly is job one for Ellie Cantkier. Her role is both front-line and back-office – she supports programs, finance, communications and fundraising as well as engages with GRA stakeholders in all sectors.
Ellie joined GRA in spring 2024 after serving as branch manager for Morgan Stanley. In that role, she managed administrative operations in three offices, covering nearly 100 financial advisors and staff. Her roles were varied, encompassing human resources, information technology and staff training. She also played a key role in managing and communicating initiatives for the branch offices.
Prior to Morgan Stanley, Ellie had a seven-year career as a top administrator in Georgia Tech’s Men’s Basketball Program. She started out as executive assistant to the team’s head coach, serving as a primary point of contact and managing a number of projects. She was later promoted to department manager, where she strengthened relationships with fans, alumni, charities, donors and other constituents. In addition, she managed financial operations and developed new processes and procedures.
A Texas native who relocated to Atlanta in 2000, Ellie attended the University of Houston. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, actively volunteering in her community, practicing yoga and traveling the globe.
