Georgia Research Alliance receives grant from the Coca-Cola Foundation to support bringing new university inventions from the lab to life

The Georgia Research Alliance is pleased to announce that the Coca-Cola Foundation has awarded a $125,000 grant to support its efforts to educate academic inventors on taking their inventions to market. This funding will help to enhance the GRA Ventures program by connecting university faculty and students with seasoned industry experts, mentoring scientific founders on critical milestones, and providing educational sessions to learn about the aspects of developing a company.

The GRA Ventures program is focused on the state of Georgia, particularly areas surrounding Athens, Atlanta, Augusta and Macon, where GRA’s partner universities are located. This new grant will help GRA spearhead a cultural shift within our affiliated research universities and propel more groundbreaking ideas from the lab to life.
