New Echota Biology
Industry: Molecular therapy system
New Echota Biotechnology is developing a unique intracellular “cargo delivery system,” using peptides that can penetrate cells. The company is designing these cell-penetrating peptides to deliver molecular payloads into living cells.
Such a technology has broad applications. It could be used to deliver cancer therapeutics or antiviral treatments for other illnesses. Or it could be applied to other gene therapies or used as a research tool or health diagnostic to highlight specific cells.
Launched out of Kennesaw State University, New Echota Biotechnology is seeking several patents for the company’s innovations.
