Industry: Home sleep test
Huxley Medical is developing an ultrathin, comfortable “all-in-one” biosensor patch to monitor and communicate wirelessly a multitude of relevant health factors. The goal is to provide a comprehensive product to diagnose sleep apnea at home.
Currently available home sleep tests are cumbersome and expensive, requiring a system of wires and multiple patches on different parts of the body. Patients often require training on how to use them. Huxley’s BioPatch is both easier to use and significantly less expensive than these current home tests.
The U.S. market for home sleep tests is currently $200 million with a compound annual growth rate of 25%. As of 2020, the Huxley team was working to refine the device and conduct a sleep study test using human subjects.
