Velocity is a software platform designed to help cancer treatment teams better manage medical images, oncology data and more. Velocity was acquired by Varian Medical Systems in March 2014. Varian has continued to develop the platform.
The platform enables clinical use of molecular imaging for managing cancer treatment, offering more time-effective cancer therapy planning and new methods to assess the therapy’s effectiveness. Velocity supports mapping and modeling of radiation dosing, team collaboration, and cloud-based data sharing, enhancing workflow for the whole care team.
