Now retired, Pete McTier served as trustee and president of the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation, the Joseph B. Whitehead Foundation, the Lettie Pate Evans Foundation and the Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation from 1988 to 2006.
These Atlanta-based foundations make up one of the largest foundation groups in the Southeast.
McTier joined the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation as a secretary in 1971. Over the years he also served as treasurer and vice president.
McTier is currently a director of Coca-Cola FEMSA and an advisory board member of SunTrust Bank Atlanta.
