Senior Administrative Coordinator
The newest addition to GRA’s team – she came aboard in summer 2022 – Brianna McNew provides support for GRA’s programs to expand research and venture development. Whether coordinating internal and external reporting, orchestrating logistics for an event, or undertaking any number of other assignments, Brianna applies her excellent organization and communication skills to any task at hand.
Brianna is no stranger to university research and entrepreneurship. She previously served as senior administrative specialist to the VP of research at the University of Georgia, her alma mater. There, she managed daily operations and scheduling, handled travel arrangements and financial management, planned events and resolved employee issues.
She first joined UGA’s Office of Research at the University of Georgia in 2019 to help manage researcher requests, assist the accounting department and coordinate scheduling for more than 100 staff and faculty. Brianna also managed stock and ordering for biomedical supplies and maintained financial records for 40-plus labs.
Brianna’s early career days reflect a variety of experiences, all of which required exceptional people skills. She drove a campus bus, greeted guests at Disney, taught high school (as a substitute) and promoted events at the Georgia Museum of Art. In addition to her position at GRA, she currently heads recruitment for Classic City Rollergirls, the roller derby league for Athens, Ga.
Brianna graduated from UGA with a B.A. degree in magazine journalism, and she holds a certificate in academic advising.
