Dallas Clement is president and CFO of Cox Enterprises, a leading broadband, automotive services and media company with $23 billion in annual revenues and 50,000 employees worldwide.
Clement is responsible for guiding the strategy and evolution of Cox Enterprises. He leads continuous growth initiatives to expand Cox’s portfolio in new industries, with a focus on emerging businesses that embrace new technologies and align with Cox’s long-held values. His team strives to promote growth and drive innovation, while managing risk and providing a clear path to achieve the company’s purpose to build a better future for the next generation. Under Clement’s leadership, the company has expanded into cleantech, controlled environment agriculture, digital media and public sector technology, and has acquired new businesses like Mucci Farms, Axios and OpenGov.
Clement is also responsible for the company's financial function, including treasury, tax, audit and financial reporting, planning and analysis. He also oversees enterprisewide operations, including sustainability, information technology, risk management, aviation, real estate and security.
Previously, Clement served as chief financial officer for Cox Automotive, the largest automotive marketplace and leading provider of software solutions to auto dealers throughout the U.S. He led all finance, legal, real estate, technology, strategy and corporate development functions across Cox Automotive's financial services, wholesale auctions, digital media, software-as-a-service and international businesses. In addition, Clement had accountability for Cox Automotive’s financial services unit, NextGear Capital. Prior to the formation of Cox Automotive, Clement served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Autotrader Group.
Clement also spent 20 years at Cox Communications, where he held a variety of roles, including executive vice president and chief strategy and product management officer.
In addition to the GRA Board of Trustees, he serves on the boards of Truist Financial Corporation, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Caffeine.tv, Junior Achievement of Georgia, the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the Atlanta History Center and Atlanta Esports Ventures.
Clement received a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics and economics from Harvard College and a master’s degree in engineering economic systems from Stanford University.
