Jepson Associates, Inc.

After selling his Fortune 500 company The Jepson Corporation in 1989, Robert Jepson founded Jepson Associates, Inc., a private investment firm.

In 1993, Jepson became chairman of Kuhlman Corp., an NYSE-listed manufacturing company. He engineered a restructuring and the company was successfully sold to Borg-Warner Automotive in 1999.

Jepson and his wife, Alice Andrews Jepson, devote much of their philanthropy to higher education. They are leading benefactors at the University of Richmond. The university’s Jepson School of Leadership Studies was the first of its kind in U.S. academia.

Jepson earned both a BSBA and a master’s in commerce from the University of Richmond. The university awarded him an honorary doctorate in 1987.

He currently serves on the boards of Dominion Resources Inc. in Richmond, Savannah College of Art and Design and Savannah’s Lucas Theatre.
